The imagination
and skill of Volunteer State Community College students will be on display for
a Hendersonville Arts Council exhibition at the historic Monthaven Mansion. “Art Off-Campus” features drawing, painting, design and 3-D
works. It starts on Saturday.
“We have
not held an off-campus exhibition of our students' work in many years,” said
professor Sue Mulcahy. “We are very pleased with the Hendersonville Arts
Council’s generous invitation to share the art with the broader community. We
hope this will begin an ongoing series. “
The show will run from May 16 to June 13. There is a
reception for the artists this Saturday, May 16 from noon to 2 p.m. The
exhibition is free and open to the public. Regular gallery hours are
Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monthaven Mansion is located at 109 Antebellum Circle in Hendersonville.
