Vol State in the News

Every now and then we'll share a few of the news stories and other material about Vol State in the media.

We're proud of our graduates, and the Hope Lottery Scholarship program is as well. They recently did a commercial featuring following up on the success of our very own Mary Beth Cliburn, who was the star of a story they did while she was a student a few years back. This latest version released last week tracks her success in Allied Health. If that name sounds familiar, Mary Beth is the daughter of Sherry Cliburn in Financial Aid, a proud mom indeed. April is full of events and the official kick-off for a couple of new programs. One of those programs is bluegrass music, here in the Gallatin News Examiner and Tennessean.

Adjunct English faculty member Kevin Marshall Chopson  has been nominated for a prestigious literary award for his poetry. The Tennessean has the story.

The Cleveland Daily Banner has this story on the appointment of Dr. Faulkner as Vol State President.
